Samantha Bond will star in the English language world premiere of Florian Zeller's The Lie. Performances will run September 14 through November 18, with an opening night of September 27 at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
Like the London venue's English premiere of Zeller鈥檚 The Truth, The Lie will feature an English-language translation by Christopher Hampton and direction by Lindsay Posner.
The Lie follows Alice, who sees her friend鈥檚 husband with another woman and must contemplate telling her friend what she saw鈥攐r lie.
Bond has been seen on Broadway in Amy鈥檚 View, for which she received a Tony nomination. The actor is best known for her recurring role of Lady Rosamund Painswick on Downtown Abbey.
The production will feature set design by Anna Fleischle, costumes by Loren Elstein, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Gregory Clarke, and original music by Isobel Waller-Bridge. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
