Second Stage Theater has announced that Lisa Lawer Post will take over as interim executive director beginning February 27. She will succeed current Executive Director Khady Kamara, who will depart the company at the end of the month.
Post previously served as project director, executive vice president, and eventually chief operating officer over a 25-year span at The New 42nd Street, the parent company of The New Victory Theater, New 42nd Street Studios, and Duke on 42nd Street. Before her time at The New 42nd Street, Lawer Post worked for Cond茅 Nast Publications as Director of Corporate Communications.
Lawer Post's experience with theatre administration dates back to her time as executive director of the Joyce Theater, where she played a key role in developing the theatre鈥檚 46-week dance season, education program, new work development program, and American Theater Exchange project.
