Casting is now complete for the 5th Avenue Theatre's upcoming staging of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Directed by Glenn Casale and choreographed by Dana Solimando, performances are scheduled for June 1鈥�24.

, Joshua Castille, seen on Broadway as Ernst in the Deaf West production of Spring Awakening, will play Quasimodo (who is Deaf in Victor Hugo鈥檚 literary masterpiece). Castille, who is Deaf, will use American Sign Language throughout his performance, while E.J. Cardona will be featured as Quasimodo鈥檚 鈥渧oice,鈥� as well as one of the cathedral鈥檚 gargoyles.

Newly announced for the production are Dan'yelle Williamson as Esmeralda, Allen Fitzpatrick as Dom Claude Frollo, Brandon O鈥橬eill as Phoebus, and Dane Stokinger as Clopin.

The ensemble includes Eric Ankrim, Kody Bringman, Kristin Burch, Jade Solomon Curtis, Candice Donehoo, Davione Gordon, Corinna Lapid Munter, Taylor Niemeyer, Richard Peacock, Zoe Raphael, Aaron Shanks, Greg Stone, Jordan Iosua Taylor, Carolyn Willems Van Dijk, and Matt Wolfe.

The Pacific Lutheran University Choral Union will serve as the 30-person choir.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, based on the 1996 Disney animated film, features a book by Peter Parnell, music by Alan Menken, and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

The production will also have scenic design by Stephen Gifford, costumes based on the designs of Marcy Froehlich and coordinated by Cathy Hunt, lighting design by Jared Sayeg, sound design by Kevin Heard, hair and makeup design by Mary Pyanowski Jones, and fight direction by Cathan Bordyn.

There will be eight ASL-interpreted performances, in addition to one open-captioned performance and one audio-described performance.
