Brooklyn Children's Theatre (BCT) will hold its annual gala April 7 at Sony Hall. The event will honor Erin Texeira, former BCT Board Chair.
Performers will include Sherz Aletaha (Merrily We Roll Along) and Kim Exum (A Wonderful World, The Book of Mormon). Nina Hellman (The Blacklist, The King of Staten Island), Jeremy Shamos (Only Murders in the Building, The Gilded Age), and Jason Veasey (Only Murders in the Building, A Strange Loop) will serve as hosts.
The event will also include a silent auction, which is open to the public even without attending the gala. Proceeds will support BCT鈥檚 mission of dismantling barriers to theatre education through scholarships and free programming.
Since its establishment in 2004, the non-profit has brought performing arts instruction to more than 10,000 Brooklyn children. In 2024, BCT produced 14 original musicals starring 544 students.
