Loseff Productions will present an industry reading of the romantic coming-of-age musical 鲍狈尝翱颁碍鈥橠 April 4 in Manhattan.
Directed by Michael Barnard, the cast will feature Caelan Creaser (Frozen), Ethan Crystal (Golem Owned a Tropical Smoothie), Evan Duff (Frozen), Aaron Arnell Harrington (Little Shop of Horrors), Kira Sarai Helper (Sister Act), Troy Iwata (The Daily Show), Sage Jepson (Shrek), Storm Lever (Six, Summer), Heather Makalani (Moulin Rouge, Aladdin), Alec Nevin (A Bronx Tale), and Samantha Schiffman (Grease). Peter Dunn handled the casting.
With a book and lyrics by Sam Carner (Island Song, Techies!) and music by Derek Gregor (Island Song, Techies!), the musical follows the twists and turns of love between four mortal and six immortal beings.
The upcoming reading will also have orchestrations by Brad Haak, music direction by Noah Teplin, and associate music direction by Jessie Rosso with Ethan Smith-Cohen and Noah Turner as the music assistants. Musicians will include Joe Wallace on bass and Max Wagner on guitar.
The production stage manager is Melissa Chac贸n, and Jason Carroll is the production assistant. General management is by Alchemy Production Group.
鲍狈尝翱颁碍鈥橠 premiered Off-Broadway in 2013 at The Duke on 42nd St. in a Prospect Theater Company production.
