Lincoln Center will honor Stephen Sondheim in a June 19 concert benefit from American Songbook Gala. Directed by Lonny Price (Sunset Boulevard, Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along), the evening will feature performances by Kate Baldwin, Petula Clark, Donna Murphy, and Ashley Park, with music direction by Paul Gemignani.
Staged at Lincoln Center鈥檚 Alice Tulley Hall, the performance, titled Beautiful Girls: A Musical Tribute, showcases Sondheim songs that examine women鈥檚 stories. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Lincoln Center鈥檚 education and community initiatives and other performance series.
The gala is presented by co-chairs Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller, Bryan Lourd and Bruce Bozzi, and Adrienne Arsht.
