News Sutton Foster and Steven Pasquale Have a Wild Party at City Center! See the First Production Shots New York City is set to get even hotter July 15-18. The Encores! Off-Center staging of Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, which stars Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Queenie, begins performances tonight at New York City Center.

Besides Foster (Violet, ), the show stars (, Carousel) as Burrs, () as Black, original Off-Broadway Hedwig star Miriam Shor as Madelaine True,  () as Kate, Talene Monahon (Off-Broadway's Permission) as Mae and  () as Eddie.

Tonight's cast lineup is the result of several changes in recent weeks. Originally slated to star in the production were ,  and Kimiko Glenn. 

Pasquale made his New York Stage debut in the original 2000 production of The Wild Party for MTC Theatre. He understudied the role of Burrs.

, who headline Encores! this summer; Groff recalls his time stage-dooring to meet Foster! directs The Wild Party, with choreography by Sonya Tayeh.

The ensemble is completed by Penelope Armstead-Williams, , Rachel DeBenedet, , , , , , , and .

尝颈辫辫补鈥檚 The Wild Party, adapted from the Jazz Age narrative poem by , "is the story of one tragic, decadent night in a Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie (Sutton Foster) and her menacing lover Burrs (Steven Pasquale). The couple decides to throw the party to end all parties, where Queenie meets a handsome stranger (Brandon Victor Dixon) who wants to lure her away."
