The Public Theater's Plays for the Plague Year has gone on hiatus, with performances November 15-22 canceled due to positive COVID cases within the company. The Off-Broadway company announced the news . The production is currently scheduled to continue through November 27 at Joe's Pub.

Ironically, the work is the culmination of a project that saw Pulitzer-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks endeavoring to write one play a day throughout the COVID shutdown. The anthology of plays and songs chronicles the tumultuous and theatre-less year.
Parks herself leads the cast, appearing alongside Leland Fowler, Greg Keller, Orville Mendoza, Kenita Miller, Lauren Molina, Mart铆n Sol谩, and Pearl Sun. Rounding out the ensemble are understudies Edward Astor Chin, Danyel Fulton, and Will Stone.
The production features scenic and projection design by Peter Nigrini, costume design by Rodrigo Mu帽oz, lighting design by Ania Washington, and sound design by Dan Moses Schreier. Buzz Cohen is production stage manager.
