American Idol Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks and The X Factor finalist Rachel Potter are set to star in Serenbe Playhouse鈥檚 latest immersive epic, an outdoor staging of the Broadway musical Shenandoah, which begins previews March 13.
Serenbe Artistic Director Brian Clowdus directs the production, which will unfold in the midst of a Civil War re-enactment incorporating more than 100 soldiers, horses, and canon fire.
Hicks and Potter co-star as Charlie Anderson and Anne Anderson in Shenandoah, which runs through April 7. Watch their acoustic preview of "Violets and Silverbells" from the score.
Shenandoah has a book by James Lee Barrett, Peter Udell, and Phillip Rose, with music by Gary Geld, and lyrics by Udell.
