Revivals: Long-awaited Returns and Old-Time Favorites
The year kicks off on the musicals front with the transfer of another Chichester hit to the West End, when 's 2014 revival of 's immortal musical Guys and Dolls follows Chichester's already legendary (and recently televised) production of another Broadway classic Gypsy (starring Imelda Staunton as Mama Rose) into the Savoy Theatre, officially opening Jan. 6.Guys and Dolls stars man of the moment (original cast of at the National, subsequently Broadway and the film version), Sophie Thompson both reprising their Chichester roles as Sky Masterson and Miss Adelaide respectively. They are newly joined by as Nathan Detroit and Siubhan Harrison as Sister .
