Disenchanted! will officially open April 7 at the Westside Theatre.
As it did during its initial 2014 run, the cast features Michelle Knight (Jersey Boys) as Snow White; (Legally Blonde) as Cinderella; Jen Bechter (Elf) as Sleeping Beauty; Lulu Picart (Listen To My Heart) as Hua Mulan/Pocahontas/Princess Badroulbadour; Alison Burns (Rent) as Belle/The Little Mermaid/Rapunzel; and (Les Mis茅rables) as The Princess Who Kissed the Frog.
Disenchanted! has received critical praise since opening Off-Broadway at Theatre st. Clement's in 2014. The show features book, music and lyrics by Dennis T. Giacino, direction by Fiely A Matias and musical staging by (Sleeping Beauty).
Produced by Don Frantz (Beauty and the Beast) and Jonathan Pollard (I Love You, You鈥檙e Perfect, Now Change), the musical comedy presents a different perspective on the fairy tale princesses we thought we knew all too well. According to press notes, 鈥淭he original storybook heroines have come back to life to set the record straight. After multiple sold-out runs nationwide, these royal renegades tosses off their tiaras to bring their hilariously subversive, not-for-the-kiddies musical to New York City.鈥�
Following successful runs around the country, Jan. 25 marked the final performance of the original limited Off-Broadway engagement of Disenchanted! at Theatre at St. Clement鈥檚 prior to re-opening at Westside Theatre.
