Off-Broadway's Transport Group will revive their 2011 production of Barry Conners' ThePatsy, with performances starting March 30 at the Abrons Art Center. Opening night is set for April 10.
Director Jack Cummings III and solo-actor David Greenspan will reprise their work from the 2011 run at The Duke on 42nd Street. Written by Barry Conners, the work debuted on Broadway in 1925 and was adapted for the big screen in 1928, the latter starring Marion Davis and Academy Award winner Marie Dressler.

鈥淎s we looked at what a COVID-safe return to the stage could be, we realized we wanted to do so with a small cast, small crew, and a shorter run time to help all involved and all audience members feel as safe as possible," shares Cummings III in a statement. "And who better to turn to than David Greenspan鈥攖he only solo performer we鈥檝e worked with in our 20-year history鈥攁n incomparable artist and breathtaking actor who has been revitalizing both downtown theatre and Transport Group鈥檚 work for years.鈥
Six-time Obie Award winner Greenspan has starred in Off-Broadway productions of Once Upon a Mattress, Punk Rock, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Boys in the Band.
The Patsy features the production鈥檚 original scenic and costume design by Dane Laffrey, original lighting design by Mark Barton, original sound design by Michael Rasbury, and dramaturgy by Kristina Corcoran Williams. Theresa Flanagan will return as stage manager.
