News Tony Winner Adriane Lenox and OITNB's Danielle Brooks Will Support Born For Broadway At Annual Cabaret Born for Broadway � a nonprofit dedicated to funding spinal cord injury research and supporting individuals living with paralysis � announced the first round of casting today for its fifth annual celebrity cabaret, including Tony Winner Adriane Lenox (Doubt) and Danielle Brooks ("Orange Is The New Black"), to be held at the Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center (129 W. 67th Street) Oct. 13.

Tony-nominated director () will direct with Lawrence Yurman () serving as music director. Carole Lasser is the pianist.

According to press notes, "Born for Broadway founder and executive producer Sarah Galli created the show while studying theater at Marymount Manhattan College as a way to give back to her community, which supported her brother Jeff after he suffered a spinal cord injury. Out of its humble beginnings, it has evolved into a renowned annual musical cabaret that brings together advocates, Broadway stars, elected officials, and the public, all to benefit paralysis-related causes. Proceeds from this year’s show will benefit Unite 2 Fight Paralysis, a nonprofit that supports international advocacy, education, and spinal cord injury research."
