The 20th anniversary edition of Carols for a Cure, the annual Broadway holiday album featuring cast members from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national tours, has just been released.
Among this year鈥檚 mix of standards and original songs is a new single from Anastasia star Christy Altomare 鈥� "It鈥檚 Just Like Christmas."
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has just released a music video for the romantic holiday single that also features Altomare's Anastasia co-star, Zach Adkins. Altomare also directed and edited the music video.
"It鈥檚 Just Like Christmas" has orchestrations by Caleb Hoyer. The video is produced for Carols for a Cure by Lynn Pinto and Andros Rodriguez of Rock-it Science Records.
The album is currently available for $25 at the and at . The album is also available at participating theatres through December 2.
In addition to belting out the soaring Ahrens and Flaherty anthem "Journey to the Past" eight shows a week at the Broadhurst Theatre, the Broadway actor is also a gifted singer-songwriter, having released three albums of original music: Not Over You (2003), Waiting for You (2007), and After You: L.A. Sessions (2009).
