Stars in the House streamed the evening celebrating the 25th anniversary of the New York City Gay Men鈥檚 Chorus.

Stars in the House鈥�Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley Jackson's streaming series that has raised funds for the Entertainment Community Fund and more鈥攕treamed the New York City Gay Men鈥檚 Chorus鈥� 25th Silver Anniversary Gala, Harmony, which was held March 31 in the Edison Ballroom at Hotel Edison.

Hosted by Julie Halston, the evening celebrated the New York City Gay Men's Chorus and Youth Pride Chorus. Performers included Broadway artists Jenn Colella (Suffs), Claybourne Elder (Company), Aaron J. Albano (Aladdin), and Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys). Tony winner Lea Salonga, back on Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends, was a presenter.

Rudestky and Wesley Jackson were honored with the Arts in Action Award, given to artists who found success in their field and then used that success to inspire change, usually in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. George Takei and Kelsey Louie were presented with the Gary Miller Award, named for the first conductor of the chorus, and honoring those whose work has created lasting, measurable, and sustainable change in the LGBTQ+ community.

The New York City Gay Men鈥檚 Chorus continues its mission to entertain, educate, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. With over 260 members, NYCGMC performs through the boroughs of New York City and beyond. The Youth Pride Chorus continues to empower youth ages 13-21 and reaches out to the local school community.
