Performers have been announced for the New York City Gay Men鈥檚 Chorus鈥 25th Silver Anniversary Gala, set for March 31. The annual benefit, entitled Harmony, will be held in the Edison Ballroom at Hotel Edison.
Joining the New York City Gay Men's Chorus and Youth Pride Chorus as featured performers will be Claybourne Elder (Company), Aaron J. Albano (Aladdin), and Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys).
As previously reported, the evening will honor Seth Rudestky and James Wesley Jackson with the Arts in Action Award. The honor is given to artists who found success in their field and then used that success to inspire change, usually in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. George Takei and Kelsey Louie will be presented with the Gary Miller Award, named for the first conductor of the chorus, and honoring those whose work has created lasting, measurable, and sustainable change in the LGBTQ+ community.
The New York City Gay Men鈥檚 Chorus continues its mission to entertain, educate, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. With over 260 members, NYCGMC performs through the boroughs of New York City and beyond. The Youth Pride Chorus continues to empower youth ages 13-21 and reaches out to the local school community.
