A Bronx Tale star stars in the central role of Daphne in the new feature-length film thriller Seaside, which has launched a Kickstarter campaign to finish production.
In the film, DeBose (Hamilton, Pippin, Motown, Bring It On) is joined by Sharon Washington (Dot, The Scottsboro Boys) as her mother, Angela; Matt Shingledecker () as her boyfriend, Roger; and Steffanie Leigh () as Susanna.
Written and directed by Sam Zalutsky (You Belong to Me), here鈥檚 how Seaside is billed: 鈥淚n Seaside, Daphne moves to Oregon鈥檚 windswept coast with her boyfriend, Roger, against her mother鈥檚 wishes, when Roger inherits his childhood beach house. But when they run into Susanna, a troubled local woman in Seaside, Daphne discovers that Roger has been less than honest about his romantic past and Daphne must fight not just for her relationship but for her own survival.鈥�
