Manhattan Theatre Club celebrated the official opening night of its revival of George Bernard Shaw鈥檚 Saint Joan April 25. The production, scheduled through June 10 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, stars Tony nominee Condola Rashsad in the title role.
Directed by Daniel Sullivan, Saint Joan also features Adam Chanler-Berat, Patrick Page, Daniel Sunjata, Jack Davenport, Walter Bobbie, John Glover, Maurice Jones, Russell G. Jones, Max Gordon Moore, Matthew Saldivar, Robert Stanton, and Lou Sumrall.

Set in 15th century France, the play recounts the story of a peasant girl who claimed to hear the voices of saints directing her to help the Dauphin of France drive the English out of the country. While she was successful in battle, she was ultimately betrayed and tried for heresy.
The MTC revival features scenic design by , costume design by , lighting design by , sound design by Obadiah Eaves, projections by Christopher Ash, hair and wig design by , original music by Bill Frisell, and make-up by Tommy Kurzman. Deborah Hecht is the dialect coach.
