Performances begin September 30 for the world premiere of Adam Bock鈥檚 A Life, directed by Anne Kauffman (Marjorie Prime). Leading the cast of the Playwrights Horizons production is Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce.
Pierce plays Nate Martin in the new play, scheduled to officially open October 24, a hopelessly single man in the wake of another failed relationship. 鈥淲hen his most recent breakup, another in a lifelong string of ill-fated matches, casts him into a funk, he turns to the only source of wisdom he trusts: the stars,鈥� state press notes. 鈥淧oring over astrological charts, he obsessively questions his past and his place in the cosmos. But in Adam Bock鈥檚 disarming new play, the answer he receives, when it comes, is shockingly obvious 鈥� and totally unpredictable.鈥�
