DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an organized and creative individual to costume our yourh and school theatre productions, organize and maintain our costume stock, and take the lead on any rental inquiries (commission involved)
Sandbox Theatre is a year round youth theatre in Mamaroenck NY, 35 minutes by train from Grand Central. We are entering our 18th year of business. Our outgoing costume designer will spend time onboarding their replacement and be available to help ensure a smooth transition.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Coordinate with directors to create plots for our various productions
2. Pull stock for those productions and source anything needed.
3. Work with other staff on schdules for dress rehearsals etc
4. Strike after each show, bringing costumes to be laundered, then restocked.
5. Maintain a current and accurate inventory of stock
6. Be the point person for rental inquiries
Sandbox has programs for students from Kindergarten up through high school, both through oour in house productions and through various school contracts.
