About the Opportunity
Contributed revenue is a primary and critical source of LA Opera鈥檚 income, and鈥痺e鈥痑re hiring an Institutional Giving Assistant to provide support for鈥痶he fundraising work that makes LA Opera鈥檚 productions, programs and impact possible. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Giving and Government Relations, the Institutional Giving Assistant provides support for all aspects of our Foundation, Corporate and Government fundraising efforts.鈥�
Responsibilities鈥痠nclude鈥痺riting鈥痳eports for grants received,鈥痬aintaining鈥痝rants and corporate sponsorship tracking and calendar,鈥痟elping鈥痶o implement corporate fulfillment,鈥痑ssisting鈥痠n the creation of corporate sponsorship鈥痯resentations,鈥痶racking and drafting acknowledgement letters,鈥痑ssisting with data entry of donations, and providing other support to the Institutional Giving team and broader Development department.鈥�
Compensation, benefits, and schedule:
This is a full-time, overtime-eligible position based out of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles, with an anticipated base hourly rate of $24.00. This position is eligible to participate in LA Opera benefit programs, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and long-term disability insurance; 403(b) retirement savings plan with a company match; cell phone stipend; Employee Assistance Program; subsidized parking or public transit reimbursement; and complimentary and discounted tickets.
The鈥痭ormal schedule is Monday through Friday with intermittent weekend and evening work.鈥� Presently there is hybrid work flexibility, with the possibility of working remotely up to two days a week in many weeks.
Who we鈥檙e looking鈥痜辞谤:鈥�
We are seeking a candidate interested in joining a dynamic, collaborative team at one of LA鈥檚 preeminent performing arts institutions. We鈥檙e looking for candidates with strong written and oral communication skills,鈥痑n aptitude for learning new processes and applications, and good administrative skills, including proficiency using databases and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Prior experience in a nonprofit/fundraising environment is preferred.鈥�
