The Pekoe Group is an award-winning, fast paced, full service advertising agency in NYC, working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.
We are seeking a Part-Time Social Media Assistant to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Pitching social media content ideas
- Daily communication with and oversight of the Community Engagement team
- Monitoring user-generated content
- Social listening for keywords across platforms
- Maintenance of approved content calendars, copy docs and internal documents
- Identifying and forecasting key industry and platform trends
- Copywriting for in-the-moment social posts across all platforms
- Video editing for in-the-moment social content
- Creation and distribution of memos for in-theatre captures
- Reporting on content performance and analytics to internal team
- Adding social media content performance and analytics to client reports
- Cultivation and maintenance of influencer lists
- Assisting with on-site content capture at events as needed
- Circulating department action items/updates
- Daily reporting to Social Media Associate
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum of one (1) year social media, digital, or communications experience
- Experience with social media video editing - familiarity with CapCut & Premiere
- Demonstration of creativity and documented immersion across social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, X, Twitter, YouTube
- Understanding of types of content and visuals that will thrive online and grab users鈥� attention across each platform
- Strong social media writing skills
- Awareness of ever-changing social media trends
- Ability to think both creatively and analytically
- Discretion pertaining to identification of threats and opportunities in user-generated content
- Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously - both internal and external - in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Someone who wants to be accountable and who values being responsible and responsive
- Excitement and curiosity about the theatre industry
SCHEDULE: 20-30 hours per week, including weekend hours
COMPENSATION: $20/hour
