DESCRIPTION

Will You Be Praying the Entire Flight? is a comedic play about how a Hasidic woman and a secular woman change after a six-hour flight sitting next to each other. The show has been workshopped since 2023, including a reading at the Dramatists Guild Foundation in March 2024 and a two-show run at Arts on Site in fall 2024.

The show is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a six-show run August 11-16. Rehearsals will take place in New York City for three to four weeks, tech and shows will take place in Scotland.

The production will be holding auditions and callbacks in April for all three characters in the show. Auditions will consist of tapes and callbacks on April 19.

SEEKING: (Both AEA and Non-AEA Encouraged to apply)

Secular Woman: 30, Female, A secular Jewish woman who lives in New York City and works as a software engineer. She has a lot of questions about life and a lot of judgment toward the very religious.

Satmar Woman: 28, Female, A Hasidic, Satmar woman from Williamsburg. She's married with four kids and knows exactly what she believes and her purpose in life.

Flight attendant: 34, Female, from a small town in the Midwest. Very excited for her first flight as a flight attendant. Slightly offensive but means well.
