DESCRIPTION

The Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute is currently seeking pit players for its summer 2025 season on beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Players may submit for one or both shows in our season. All other instruments are filled by returning players.

The contract includes:

• $800 per contract, per player for rehearsals and 6 performances.
• $75 ($150 total) weekly stipend to contribute to 'life expenses' like gas, groceries, etc
• $200 travel stipend for the travel to/from job or round trip airfare w/checked bag.
• Housing in a private bedroom in a shared 4br/2ba apartment on a college campus, twenty minutes from the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head Island.
• Use of a shared orchestra rental car(s)
• $100 apartment restore bonus (basic cleaning, starting laundry upon departure.)
• Dinners will be provided on all evening technical rehearsals, and some performances.
• Potential use of local instruments for the more difficult to travel instruments, like upright bass.
