DESCRIPTION

Looking for energetic director for 11-page comedy for Manhattan play festival in early August. The ideal director has lots of comedy all over their CV. My play has three characters, including a talking dolphin, and an old mama who likes to shake her moneymaker. In fact that's the play title: "Mama Shakes Her Moneymaker" and it's a comedy about a deceased mama's ashes coming back to life on Judgment Day, and she likes to shake her moneymaker, so she does. Job start: Auditions/Rehearsals in NYC should start early- mid-July for August 5 opening night.
From the theater:

All participants must be available August 4��17, 2025, the run of the festival.
Tech days are scheduled for August 3, 4, and the morning of August 5. Final tech schedule will be confirmed by July 10.

Each selected play will be granted three performances and the final lineup will be announced by July 8.
This is a non-union production.

Director not required to attend performances, but definitely play's tech whenever it is.
