THREE SISTERS

About the Project
Olga, Masha, and Irina are the Three Sisters of the Prozorova home. They host gatherings and guests at their estate over years and seasons. But deep beneath their lore, a tectonic shift threatens the surface over which they float. Their older brother, Andrei, brings in someone more permanent: his blushing bride. The Prozorova home feels it. Do you?
This production of Three Sisters will take Chekhov’s beautiful exploration of complicated family dynamics, love, and socio-economics, and filter it through the lens of the Black experience in America.
This is an unpaid non-union project developed at Columbia University School of the Arts | Theater under the guidance of Katherine Wilkinson and Scott Whitehurst.
