The 63rd Street Music Hall opened in 1914. The theatre broke new ground when it presented Shuffle Along in May 1921. Featuring such hits as 鈥淚鈥檓 Just Wild About Harry鈥 and 鈥淏andanna Days鈥 by Eubie Blake-Noble Sissle, the show marked a breakthrough in making black shows acceptable to white audiences. The 63rd Street Musical Hall, named Daly鈥檚, was demolished in 1957.
