Casting has been announced for Theatre Under The Stars鈥� staging of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine鈥檚 Into the Woods, which runs December 6-18 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, TX.
As previously reported, Tony nominee , who created the role of Daisy in Side Show, will star as The Witch in the production that is directed and choreographed by her original Side Show director Robert Longbottom.
Several Broadway actors have signed on to join Skinner, including Jim Stanek as the Baker, Stephanie Gibson as the Baker鈥檚 Wife, Britney Coleman as Cinderella, Kally Duling as Little Red, Tyler Jones as Jack, Nick Bailey as Rapunzel's Prince, Jeremy Hays as Cinderella鈥檚 Prince/Wolf, Lauren 鈥淐oco鈥� Cohn as Jack鈥檚 Mother, Jillian Gottlieb as Rapunzel, Laura Jordan as Cinderella鈥檚 Step Mother, Mary Claire King as Lucinda, Courtney Markowitz as Florinda, Susan Shofner as Cinderella鈥檚 Mother/Granny, Alexa Magro as Snow White, Meg Schneider as Sleeping Beauty, and Paul Slade Smith as the Narrator/Mysterious Man.
This production is being led by a team of Broadway designers, including Tony-winning costume designer who will revisit her costume designs from the original 1987 Broadway production of Into the Woods. Using a large collection of the actual costumes from the 1987 Broadway run, Hould-Ward and team will undertake an extensive refurbishment process to restore the garments to their original conditions, while adding a large amount of new costuming to this production.
