If you missed Kevin Kline’s Tony-winning performance in the 2017 revival of Present Laughter, never fear. BroadwayHD captured the Broadway production June 23 for its subscription streaming service, .
BroadwayHD has begun streaming Present Laughter as of September 7. The show, nominated for Best Revival of a Play, stars Kline as actor Garry Essendine, Kristine Nielsen as his secretary Monica, Kate Burton as his ex-wife Liz, Tedra Millan as his young mistress Daphne, and Cobie Smulders as another romantic interest Joanna. The production also featured Tony-nominated costumes by Susan Hilferty.
The Man Who Came to Dinner starring Nathan Lane will be available come September14, after unforeseen delays prevented it from becoming available this summer as °ëµºÌåÓý previously reported. Roundabout Theatre Company’s 2000 production stars , Jean Smart, and The show was the first to open at the renamed American Airlines Theatre. Directed by , Lane plays radio host Sheridan Whiteside as the dinner guest of a well-to-do factory owner. But when Whiteside falls and injures himself on his way to dinner, he ends up staying to recover, wreaking havoc on the home.
Steven Levenson, the Tony-winning book writer of Dear Evan Hansen, also debuted the Off-Broadway production of his play If I Forget this past season. The production starred Jeremy Shamos as a Jewish Studies professor who writes a controversial book about the Holocaust and its idolizedrole in Jewish religion. As he and his sisters, played by Kate Walsh and Maria Dizzia, deal with their ailing father, Shamos� character must also deal with the fallout of his free speech. The masterful production .
It’s not all fun and plays; dance has a space on BroadwayHD as well. Beginning September 28, five recordings and two documentaries all surrounding Riverdance begin streaming. �Riverdance: The 10 Years (2005) celebrates the incredible rise of Riverdance, including 18 of the all-time best performances. Riverdance: Today’s Stars (2007) focuses on the real-life stories of the stars of one of the touring casts. Rounding out the lineup are three heart-pounding performances from the last 20 years, including Riverdance: Live From Beijing (2010), Riverdance: China (2004), and Riverdance: Live From New York City (1996),� according to press notes.
For fans of Carole King and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, a filmed version of her concert, Carole King: Tapestry, captured at London's Hyde Park stadium will be available August 31–September 29. King performed Tapestry in its entirety for the first time and completed a rendition of I Feel The Earth Move with Cassidy Janson and the London cast of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
