Ari Axelrod will release a new album, A Place for Us: A Celebration of Jewish Broadway, January 17 via PS Classics. Get a first listen to Axelrod's take on the Les Mis茅rables favorite "Bring Him Home" from the upcoming release above.
鈥淚n recording 鈥楤ring Him Home,鈥� I felt it was a powerful choice to take a song that is so beloved and do it in Hebrew to allow the listener to hear it in a new way," says Axelrod. "Then, while we were in the recording studio, I had an idea I wanted to try that felt very personal, very powerful, and very of the moment. Ultimately, we decided to incorporate that idea into the album. I think it brings new meaning to a beloved classic.鈥�
The album features Axelrod backed by a 13-piece orchestra, conducted by arranger Mike Stapleton. Additional arrangements are by Larry Yurman. The release is produced by Tommy Krasker and Bart Migal, with Ron Thomas serving as executive producer.

The album captures a solo show that Axelrod debuted at Birdland and later took to venues around the world. Included in the track list are songs by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Stephen Sondheim, Mary Rodgers, Jason Robert Brown, Adam Guettel, and more, part of Axelrod's exploration of the indelible mark that Jewish stories, characters, and artists have made on Broadway and beyond.
