The Tony Awards Pre-Show
For the fifth year in a row, Tony night is being split into two broadcasts: a pre-show celebration of the season and the main ceremony.
The 90-minute pre-show will be hosted by Renée Elise Goldsberry and 2025 Tony Award nominee Darren Criss, but organizers have been scant with details beyond that. Theatre fans will just have to wait for June 8 to find out! If it's like last year, we can expect some award categories to be given out during the pre-show. The pre-show will begin at 6:40 PM ET, streaming live on Pluto TV. If you're not familiar with that streamer, it's one of a handful of completely free streaming services, so everyone should be good to go there. The Tony Awards ceremony proper will follow the Act One pre-show, hosted by Wicked star and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo. We can expect performances from all the currently running Best Musical and Best Revival of a Musical nominees, lots of Tony Awards handed out, and more.
As for how to watch, the three-hour awards ceremony will air live on CBS and stream simultaneously on Paramount+ (for subscribers of Paramount+ with Showtime only) from 8 PM ET. The broadcast will also be available to for all membership tiers following the live stream. But if you want to stream it live, you might want to upgrade your Paramount+ subscription.
Watching Without Cable
We see you, cord cutters! If you don't have cable, never fear. You have lots of options for tuning into this year's Tony Awards broadcast live. The best way is to stream it using Paramount+ (scroll up for all that info).
But you can also use any streaming cable service that carries a local CBS affiliate—like YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, FuboTV, and a host of others.
