Jessica Lange, most recently on Broadway in a Tony-winning turn in the 2016 revival of Long Day鈥檚 Journey Into Night, will join fellow Tony winner Ben Platt in the forthcoming Netflix series The Politician, according to .
The new series from Ryan Murphy, who will serve as writer, executive producer, and showrunner, will also feature Dylan McDermott, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Laura Dreyfuss (who appeared opposite Platt in Dear Evan Hansen), and Rahne Jones.
The satirical comedy casts Platt as a wealthy politician in Santa Barbara, California. The series, also written and executive-produced by Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, will feature musical numbers.
