Based on the books by Hilary Mantel, "Wolf Hall" will feature two-time Tony Award winner as Thomas Cromwell co-starring with as Henry VIII. The six-part miniseries, which begins April 5, 2015 at 10:00 PM, follows Cromwell's life and career.
The London productions of Wolf Hall and its sequel Bring Up the Bodies, adapted for the stage by , will arrive on Broadway this spring at the Winter Garden Theatre.
The second season of "Shakespeare Uncovered," which will feature celebrity hosts "Downton Abbey鈥� star Hugh Bonneville, , , , David Harewood and Joseph Fiennes exploring Shakespeare's greatest works, will premiere Jan. 30 at 9 PM.
Award-winning playwright August Wilson, who penned , and , among others, will be honored in "August Wilson: The Ground on Which I Stand." The program, which will air Feb. 20 at 9 PM, is presented as part of the American Masters series and will feature , and sharing stories of the late African-American playwright鈥檚 theatrical canon.
Season Five of the hit TV show "Downton Abbey" will premiere Jan. 4 at 9 PM.
