When Josh's grandparents decide to fix his life with unsolicited advice, relentlessly judging, and dragging him to Jazzercise class at the JCC, illuminating chaos ensues.

Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse will stage the world premiere of Jake Brasch's The Reservoir this summer, and a full cast has been assembled.

Directed by Shelley Butler (A Doll鈥檚 House, Part 2; The Scarlet Letter), performances of The Reservoir will begin June 18 at the Gil Cates Theater at Geffen Playhouse. Opening night is set for June 26. The limited run will come to a close July 20.

The Reservoir centers on Josh, a young man whose life is spiraling. When his grandparents step in to help by offering unsolicited advice, relentlessly judging his life choices, bringing up their own mortality over coffee, and dragging him to Jazzercise class at the JCC, illuminating chaos ensues. 

The Geffen production will include Adri谩n Gonz谩lez (Superstore) as Hugo, Marin Hinkle (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Patricia , Jake Horowitz (Dutch Masters) as Josh, Liz Larsen (The Most Happy Fella) as Beverly, Carolyn Mignini (Escape at Dannemora) as Irene, Geoffrey Wade (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Hank, and Lee Wilkof (Little Shop of Horrors) as Shrimpy.

The creative team includes scenic designer Takeshi Kata, costume designer Sara Ryung Clement, lighting designer Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew, sound designer and composer Michael Costagliola, associate director Karima Karkori, dramaturg Olivia O'Connor, production stage manager Liz Brohm Hanrahan, and assistant stage manager Rebecca K. Hsia. Casting is by Grady Soapes, Jody Feldman, and Phyllis Schuringa.

The production is being presented in partnership with Denver Center for the Performing Arts and Alliance Theatre.
