Invitation-only industry presentations of What’s New Pussycat?�the new musical comedy that marries Henry Fielding’s novel Tom Jones with the pop hits of singer Tom Jones—will be held June 25�26 in Manhattan at New 42 Studios.
Directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet), the cast will feature Taylor Louderman (Mean Girls), Dominic Andersen (Heathers), Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer (Spamalot), John-Andrew Morrison (A Strange Loop), Kuhoo Verma (Monsoon Wedding), Erich Bergen (Boop!) Veanne Cox (Company), and David Harris (Moulin Rouge!).
Written by Tony winner Joe DiPietro (Nice Work If You Can Get It, Memphis), What’s New Pussycat? is set in swinging 1960s London and follows a young romantic on a madcap quest to win back the love of his life. Songs include "It’s Not Unusual," "Delilah," and "What’s New Pussycat?"
The creative team also includes scenic designer Jon Bausor, choreographer Dame Arlene Phillips, lighting designer Howard Hudson, sound designer Gareth Owen, costume designer Janet Bird, and musical arranger and supervisor Matthew Brind. Casting is by the Telsey Office.
What’s New Pussycat? is executive-produced by Flody Suarez and Wagner Johnson Productions. Wagner Johnson Productions serves as the general manager.
