Academy Award nominee Tom Cruise is "circling" the project, according to TheWrap. Disney is also interested in Michel Hazanavicius to direct.
The film features a script by Allan Loeb.
"Bob the Musical," according to the entertainment website, "follows a regular guy who can suddenly hear the inner songs of everyone鈥檚 heart after suffering a blow to the head. His reality instantly becomes a musical, much to his dismay."
Producers are Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn with Chris Bender and J.C. Spink of Benderspink.
International screen star Cruise will next be seen in "Mission: Impossible 鈥� Rogue Nation." The actor was seen in the film version of the Broadway musical .
