DESCRIPTION

Bespoke Theatricals is currently seeking an Assistant Carpenter (Automation) for the National Touring production of BACK TO THE FUTURE to begin work in July. The Assistant Carpenter supervises the load-in, load-out, and operation of all automation aspects of the production in conjunction with the Head Carpenter and Carpentry Department.

Responsibilities include:

路 Being a team player within the carpentry department along with the rest of the traveling crew

路 Loading the automation gear in and out of each venue safely and in a timely manner and leading a local carpentry crew.

路 Keeping up with the regular maintenance schedule for the production to ensure safe operation of the automation system

路 Maintaining the automation portion of the truck pack, as per the Head Carpenter.

路 Supervise installation, operation, and disassembly of all automation elements of the production in coordination with other department heads

路 Other carpentry duties as assigned by the Head Carpenter.

Qualifications:

路 Minimum 3 years touring experience with a Broadway musical or play as a Carpenter and/or Automation Operator

路 Knowledge of Automation systems: Proficiency with hydraulics, electronics, electric motors, motor drives and controls, manual and automated rigging devices

路 Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat preferred

路 Work in a fast-paced environment

Salary

路 $1,750.00 per week / based on experience
