Form Theatricals is seeking an experienced and highly organized Company Manager for our anticipated Off-Broadway production, House of McQueen. Position Overview: The Company Manager will be integral to ensuring the seamless operation of House of McQueen, acting as the central hub for logistical, administrative, and financial coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Cast and Crew Coordination: Serve as the primary contact for cast and crew, managing all scheduling, payroll, housing, transportation, and logistical arrangements.
Payroll Management: Submit payroll to CFO for processing, distribute weekly paychecks, and ensure timely and correct compensation for all personnel.
Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage company management assigned budgets and petty cash, maintain detailed expense reports, and provide regular financial updates to General Management.
Personnel Onboarding: Facilitate comprehensive onboarding of cast and crew, ensuring completion of union documentation (AEA, SDC, USA), tax paperwork, and HR compliance.
Daily Reporting: Coordinate, prepare, and distribute box office reports, incident reports, and essential updates to Producers and General Management.
Production Support: Provide logistical support throughout rehearsals, technical rehearsals, previews, opening night, and ongoing performances.
Problem-Solving and Crisis Management: Act as a composed, efficient, and proactive problem solver, promptly addressing and resolving company issues and emergencies.
Union Compliance: Ensure full adherence to all union agreements, especially Actors' Equity Association (AEA), and maintain proactive and positive communication with union representatives.
Special Event Coordination: Organize and manage special events, including company meetings, audience talkbacks, press events, and opening night festivities.
Front of House Management: Oversee Front of House staff, ensuring smooth audience experiences and effective operation of house management and box office functions.
Ideal Candidate:
Demonstrated experience in theater management, preferably in Off-Broadway or Broadway productions.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask effectively under pressure and resolve issues proactively.
Familiarity with union regulations (AEA, SDC, USA) and payroll procedures.
Professional demeanor, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully.
