Marriott Theatre will take video submissions for all shows announced at a later date. We will have another open call for the remainder of the season announced at a later date.
PREPARATION
Please prepare a short song cut (equivalent to 1 minute) and bring your book in case the team needs to hear more. An accompanist will be provided. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

Marriott Theatre 2026 Dinner Theatre Season (1st Half)
Casting Note:鈥侽ur goal is to create a warm and welcoming casting process. The team strives to lead with respect, kindness, and generosity. In regard to the character descriptions 鈥� they outline the characters as described in the script and in consultation with the creative team. They do not aim to be all-encompassing representations of who might fill these roles. We aim for an expansive and deliberate casting process. We acknowledge that the characters in the script are traditionally presented as either male or female (using he/him or she/her pronouns). We warmly welcome submissions from individuals who identify as gender non-conforming, genderqueer, transgender, or non-binary for the roles that resonate most with their identity.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is an ALL-PRINCIPAL Musical. Principal roles listed below may be covered by those auditioning for the Chorus.
SEEKING:
SEYMOUR (Male/Masc, 20s-30s, Any Ethnicity) A self-doubting, overworked florist's clerk who is the improbable hero of the story. He is a sincere, well-intentioned man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills. In love with Audrey and will do anything to protect her.
AUDREY (Female/Femme, Any Ethnicity, 20s鈥�30s) She is all heart beneath her peroxide blonde hair and suggestive outfits. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor. She has beautiful dreams for the future despite the hopelessness of her abusive situation. Any ethnicity.
MR. MUSHNIK (Male/Masc, Any Ethnicity, 50s+) The weathered owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's boss. He is hungry for a profit, but not afraid to be gluttonous and manipulative.
DENTIST (Male/Masc, 30s-40s, Any Ethnicity) An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. Any ethnicity.
VOICE OF THE PLANT (All Gender Identities, 18+, Black) A vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a street-smart, funky, conniving villain. A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best.
URCHINS - CRYSTAL, RONNETTE AND CHIFFON (Female/Femme, Black, Late Teens- Late 20s) the street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young. Energetic and street smart with a sharp sense of humor. The only ones who have a grip on reality. Strong singers and movers.

ENSEMBLE (All Gender Identities, 20s+) Multiple roles, including record executives, fans, musicians, and radio personalities. Strong singers and movers who help bring the energy of the era to life. May also cover the following Principal roles:
ELVIS PRESLEY (Male/Masc, 20s, White) A young, ambitious musician with raw talent, charisma, and an undeniable stage presence. He evolves from an unknown performer to a groundbreaking rock 鈥榥鈥� roll icon.
KID ELVIS (Male/Masc, 10-14 years old, White) The younger version of the iconic rock n鈥� roll icon. Discovering his love of music.
SAM PHILLIPS (Male/Masc, 30s) Elvis鈥� first producer. Outspoken, tough but sensitive southern man. Had a true ear and passion for authentic music, especially 鈥淩ockabilly.
SCOTTY MOORE (Male/Masc, 20s-30s, White) Elvis鈥� first guitarist and an essential part of his early sound. Doubles as: GLEN, Elvis鈥� guitarist later in life. Requires guitar ability.
BILL BLACK (Male/Masc, 20s-30s, White) Elvis鈥� bassist. The yin to Scotty鈥檚 yang. Doubles as: JERRY, Elvis鈥� bassist later in life. Requires bass guitar ability.
DJ (Male/Masc, 20s-30s) Elvis鈥� drummer. Doubles as RONNIE, Elvis鈥� drummer later in life. Requires drum skills.
COLONEL TOM PARKER (Male/Masc, White, 40s-50s) A shrewd, controlling businessman who eventually takes over as Elvis' manager. Charismatic but manipulative, he sees Elvis as a ticket to immense financial success.
GLADYS (Female/Femme, White, 50s+) Elvis鈥� mother, Warm, Devoted, and protective of her son.
VERNON (Male/Masc, White, 50s+) Elvis鈥� father. Doubles as FRANK SINATRA.
PRISCILLA (Female/Femme, White, 20s): Elvis鈥檚 wife whom he meets while in the army, intelligent, composed, and mature beyond her years. Struggles with Elvis鈥� celebrity lifestyle.
DIXIE (Female/Femme, White, 20s) Elvis鈥� high school sweetheart. Doubles as Ann Margaret: a famous actor/singer/dancer who had a romantic fling with Elvis while filming Viva Las Vegas
BETTY (Female/Femme, Black, 20s+) A clerk at the record store Elvis frequented a lot as a child. Bonds with Elvis over music.
OTIS (Male/Masc, Black, 20s+): One of Elvis鈥� neighbors growing up who teaches him about the blues. Doubles as Jackie Brenston: A musician who had a heavy influence on Elvis Presley.
CHUCK (Male/Masc, Black, 20s+) One of Elvis鈥� neighbors growing up who teaches him about the blues. Doubles as REV. BREWSTER: Pastor of Betty鈥檚 church. ROY BROWN: A blues singer who had a heavy influence on rock and roll and R&B.
DEWEY PHILLIPS (Male/Masc, 30s-40s) A fast-talking, enthusiastic Memphis DJ who is instrumental in introducing Elvis鈥� music to the world. A larger-than-life personality with humor and a love for rock 鈥榥鈥� roll.

FREDRIK EGERMAN (Male/Masc, 40s+, Any Ethnicity) A successful widowed middle-aged lawyer. Once upon a time, he had an affair with an actress named Desiree, whom he has never forgotten. He is married to the 18-year-old Anne and has one son from his previous marriage, Henrik.
ANNE EGERMAN (Female/Femme, Late Teens, Any Ethnicity) Fredrik's new, naive wife who, though they have been married for 11 months, is still a virgin. She does not know that she is secretly loved by her stepson, Henrik.
HENRIK EGERMAN (Male/Masc, 20s, Any Ethnicity) Fredrik鈥檚 gloomy, ignored son who is studying to become a minister. He is secretly in love with Anne, his stepmother, but temptations abound in the person of Petra, the family maid.
PETRA (Female/Femme, 20s-30s, Any Ethnicity) Anne's maid and closest confidante. She is lusty, earthy, and practical about her status in life.
DESIREE ARMFELDT (Female/Femme, 40s+, Any Ethnicity) A, self-absorbed, once-successful actress, now touring the countryside in what is clearly not the glamorous life.鈥� She bore her daughter, Fredrika, after an affair with Fredrik (he does not know). Like her mother, she has had many lovers and knows how to 鈥渉andle鈥� men but is getting tired of that lifestyle.
FREDRIKA ARMFELDT (Female/Femme, Early to Late Teens, Any Ethnicity) Desiree鈥檚 daughter by Fredrik (unbeknownst to Fredrik) she is a very sophisticated young lady who is wise beyond her years. Living with her grandmother, Madame Armfeldt, while her mother travels, she secretly longs for Desiree to settle down and assume a normal life.
MADAME ARMFELDT (Female/Femme, 60s+, Any Ethnicity) Desiree's mother, who has had liaisons with royalty. She had many lovers over the years, making sure she secured something of monetary value from each relationship, but never truly finding love. She dispenses wisdom to her granddaughter, Fredrika, whom she cares for while Desiree is on the road.
COUNT CARL-MAGNUS MALCOLM (Male/Masc, 30s-40s, Any Ethnicity) A military man who is pompous, arrogant, & egomaniacal. He is married to Charlotte while having an affair with Desiree.
CHARLOTTE MALCOLM (Female/Femme, 30s-40s, Any Ethnicity) The put-upon wife of Carl-Magnus, Charlotte is fully aware of his repeated infidelities but is powerless to stop them. Childless, she has devolved into a cynical depression and is willing to take down everyone else with her.
FRID (Male/Masc, 20s-30s, Any Ethnicity) Frid is Madame Armfeldt鈥檚 butler/manservant who is attracted to Petra.
