Broadway and West end star Marcus Lovett returns to Feinstein's/54 Below 7 PM, January 19 and 20, with an all-new cabaret act.
A blend of musical styles, Marcus Lovett, Moonlighting finds Lovett backed by a six-piece combo, re-imagining the American Songbook with a combination of jazz, rock, blues, and Broadway sensibilities. Music direction is by Greg Pliska, and Stacey Sullivan will appear with Lovett as a special guest.
鈥淐abaret is in full flower right now,鈥 says Lovett in a statement, 鈥渨ith artists experimenting and speaking out. What I want to do is bring a nightclub sophistication from another time to the present鈥 I want to experiment with the genre and synthesize all the things that excite and inspire me.鈥
Lovett, an original star of Les Mis茅rables, has been seen on Broadway in The Phantom of the Opera, Carousel, and Aspects of Love. He's currently touring the world as part of The Four Phantoms project, alongside Franc D鈥橝mbrosio, Ciar谩n Sheehan, and Brent Barrett.
