Regional News Cast Set for World Premiere of Diane Paulus-Directed The White Card Claudia Rankine鈥檚 drama will begin performances February 24 in Boston.

ArtsEmerson and American Repertory Theater will present the world premiere of Claudia Rankine's The White Card beginning February 24.

Directed by Tony winner Diane Paulus (Pippin), performances are scheduled through April 1 at the Emerson Paramount Center鈥檚 Robert J. Orchard Stage, located at 559 Washington Street in downtown Boston.

The cast includes Karen Pittman (Good People and Passing Strange) as Charlotte, Daniel Gerroll (Enchanted April and Shadowlands) as Charles, Patricia Kalember (Don鈥檛 Dress for Dinner and TV's Sisters) as Virginia, Jim Poulos (The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Rent) as Eric, and John Kroft (Amazon Studios鈥� Red Oaks) as Alex.

In The White Card, a conversation at a dinner party thrown by Virginia and Charles, an influential Manhattan couple, for up-and-coming artist Charlotte raises questions about what鈥攁nd who鈥攊s actually on display.


The production will also have dramaturgy by Ford Foundation Art of Change Fellow P. Carl, scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Stephen Strawbridge, sound design by Will Pickens, and projection design by Peter Nigrini.
