Disney's immersive virtual reality experiences of Broadway performances end September 11 at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. The fan event began on September 9.

Using virtual reality headsets, attendees go inside 鈥淔riend Like Me鈥� from , 鈥淟et It Go鈥� from , and 鈥淐ircle of Life鈥� in .

The Lion King opened on Broadway in 1997 under the direction of , who won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical and becoming the first woman in Broadway history to win the category. The musical received six Tony Awards in total and continues to play at Broadway鈥檚 Minskoff Theatre. Aladdin, which opened in 2014, continues to play at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Completing its run in 2020, Frozen played 825 performances at the St. James Theatre and is currently touring the U.S. and playing London鈥檚 West End.
