Director Harold Prince will sit down Jason Robert Brown for a conversation about his legendary, six-decade Broadway career June 1 at 7 PM at the Upper East Side Barnes and Noble. The conversation celebrates the the Prince of Broadway cast album, which is now available in physical, digital, and streaming formats. Brown co-produced the album and provided new songs, arrangements, orchestrations, and music supervision for the show.
The event will also feature musical performances from the cast.
Prince co-directed Prince of Broadway, which featured both biographical material and songs from many of the shows that earned him a record 21 Tony Awards, including the original productions of Damn Yankees, West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd,, , The Phantom of the Opera, Parade, and , as well as revivals of and Candide.
