Aladdin was the only one to premiere over a holiday weekend.

The movie stars Mena Massoud in the title role, Will Smith as the Genie, and Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and includes the Alan Menken-Tim Rice-Howard Ashman songs from the original鈥攑lus new material and additional lyrics from Dear Evan Hansen and La La Land duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Disney continues its parade of franchise reexaminations this summer with its new The Lion King, July 19. The cast includes Donald Glober, James Earl Jones, and Beyonc茅.
