Manhattan Theatre Club will give James Graham's Punch a Broadway premiere at its Samuel J. Friedman Theatre this fall. Adam Penford (One Man, Two Guvnors) will direct the new work from the Olivier-winning Dear England and Ink playwright.

Based on Jacob Dunne鈥檚 memoir Right From Wrong, Punch traces Dunne鈥檚 journey in restorative justice after one impulsive punch led to fatal consequences. After spending more than a year in prison, he connected with the victim's parents, sparking a profound transformation. The work premiered last year at Nottingham Playhouse and is currently running at London鈥檚 Young Vic.

Penford is returning to direct the Broadway bow after staging both U.K. runs. The Broadway production will be presented in association with Nottingham Playhouse, where Penford serves as artistic director.

MTC has also revealed an Off-Broadway title for its upcoming season, the world premiere of The Monsters, written and directed by Ngozi Anyanwu (Good Grief, The Homecoming Queen). The production will open at New York City Center in winter 2026.

A co-production with Two River Theater, The Monsters follows LIL, who has been obsessed with fighting, and one fighter in particular: her older brother, BIG. LIL admires BIG's success in the local Mixed Martial Arts circuit from afar, until she decides to show up on his doorstep. The work is a commission of Two River Theater, and will be showcased in MTC鈥檚 Ted Snowdon Reading Series later this month.

Dates, casting, and additional productions for the season will be announced at a later time.
