A star-studded lineup of Jimmy Awards alumni are set to commemorate the program's 15th anniversary at 54 Celebrates The Jimmy Awards. Two concerts will be held at 54 Below January 29 at 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, with the second performance available for live streaming at 9:45 PM.
Ryan McCartan (Wicked, Frozen, Heathers) will host the concerts, with Drew Wutke serving as music director. The evening is produced by Jen Sandler and The Broadway League Foundation.
Performers include McCartan, English Bernhardt (Mean Girls, If/Then), Antonio Cipriano (Jagged Little Pill), John Clay III (New York, New York; Choir Boy), Erica Durham (Into The Woods, The Color Purple), Joshua Grosso (The Band鈥檚 Visit, Les Mis茅rables), Morgan Higgins (Bad Cinderella), Morgan Kirner (Merrily We Roll Along; Hello, Dolly!), McKenzie Kurtz (Wicked, Frozen), Sayo Oni (Hadestown), Jake Pedersen (Wicked, Parade), Jasmine Amy Rogers (Boop! The Betty Boop Musical; Mean Girls), Christian Thompson (Wicked, Ain鈥檛 Too Proud), and 2023 Langston Lee and Lauren A. Marchand.
Each year, The Jimmy Awards bring together high school students from 48 regional programs for a week of coaching sessions from industry professionals, training, and rehearsals, culminating in an evening of performance. At the end of the night, two students are presented with awards for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor. Several scholarships and additional honors are awarded to the evening鈥檚 winners and finalists.
A multitude of stars of the stage and screen鈥攊ncluding Eva Noblezada, Justin Cooley, Rene茅 Rapp, Andrew Barth Feldman, Jai'Len Josey, and Casey Likes鈥攁lso competed in past Jimmy Awards.
The 2024 ceremony will be held June 24 at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre.
