The Sound and the Fury (Off-Broadway at ). Elevator Repair Service's production The Sound and the Fury returned Off-Broadway following an acclaimed premiere at in 2008. Directed by John Collins, The Sound and the Fury is a staging of the first section of the "Benjy Chapter" of William Faulkner's seminal novel of the same name. The show is billed as a theatrical representation of Faulkner's complex language. "In usual ERS style, humor, pathos, and high-energy choreography illuminate this Southern Gothic tale.
