Broadway's Brightest Lights, featuring show tunes from the Golden Age through modern classics, will make its premiere on PBS stations around the country August 13 at 7:30 PM ET. Check local listings.
Scheduled to perform Broadway favorites, each with new arrangements, are Megan Hilty (Noises Off), Michael Maliakel (Aladdin), Nikki Ren茅e Daniels (Company), and Tommy Sutter (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). The artists will be backed by The American Pops Orchestra, conducted by Luke Frazier, who also curated the concert.
TV watchers can expect to hear such tunes as 鈥淧opular鈥� (Hilty), 鈥淭he Trolley Song鈥� (Sutter), 鈥淏eing Alive鈥� (Maliakel), 鈥淚 Dreamed a Dream鈥� (Daniels), and 鈥淪uddenly Seymour鈥� (Maliakel and Hilty), among others.
