Directed by Eric Rosen, Stillwater is written by Tysen (Am茅lie, Fugitive Songs) and his Midwest rock band Joe's Pet Project.
The 7 PM concert version will feature performances from (Hair), (Wicked), (Holler If Ya Hear Me), (Mamma Mia!), (Wicked), (Rocky) as well as Tysen and Joe's Pet Project.
In Stillwater, according to press notes, "rock, pop, and alt-country tunes tell the story of two love triangles catastrophically intersecting in a modern-day drug-fueled trailer park in Stillwater, Oklahoma."
Tysen was awarded both the Edward Kleban prize for most promising lyricist and the Fred Ebb Award for excellence in musical theatre songwriting (co-won with composer ). His projects include the Broadway-bound adaptation of Tuck Everlasting, The Burnt Part Boys, Fugitive Songs, The Mysteries of Harris Burdick, two circuses for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey and a song for the revue Stars of David. Tysen also co-wrote the lyrics to an adaptation of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film "Am茅lie" with Dan Mess茅 of the band Hem.
