Norm Lewis will lead a new Off-Broadway revival of Lonne Elder III's Ceremonies in Dark Old Men at Theatre at St. Clements. Performances will begin April 11 ahead of an April 18 opening night. The limited engagement will continue through May 18, with Clinton Turner Davis at the helm.

Elder's play is set in 1950s New York, centering on a widowed father, a barber who used to be a vaudeville performer whose life is thrown into turmoil when his daughter's long-standing resentments come to a head as his two sons' criminal enterprise unravels.

Lewis will be joined in the cast by Jeremiah Packer, Calvin M. Thompson, and Bryce Michael Wood.

The work, a Pulitzer Prize nominee, premiered Off-Broadway in 1969 via Negro Ensemble Company, which is co-presenting this upcoming revival with Peccadillo Theater Company and Eric Falkenstein.

The production will feature scenic design by Harry Feiner, costume design by Isabel Rubio, and lighting design by Jimmy Lawlor. The producing team also includes Willette and Manny Klausner, David S. Stone, Linda Powell, Jamie deRoy, Annaleise Loxton, and Jamila Ponton Bragg.
